The 25th annual putnam county spelling bee

My school's latest show was The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, for which I was the technical director. It was a simple but effective set, and gave the kids a chance to do a fully painted floor for the first time, which was an adventure. The show has a lot of subtext, so our lighting was designed to support that more than the actual plot of the play, which is very simple. We had some challenges working with a live band for only our second time ever, and the first time for many of the students. But in the end it was successful.
